What is Endura™ Nylon Flag Fabric? Our Endura™ Nylon makes an excellent material for flags. It has exceptional strength and resists abrasion as well as resists damage from a number of chemicals. Our nylon flags are manufactured using 200-denier heavyweight nylon that has been specially treated using SolarMax™ by Dupont to resist sun and chemical deterioration. Nylon also provides a smoothness and lustrous quality to flags which makes the nylon flag an exceptional indoor ceremonial flag or flagset flag. Our nylon flags are also perfect for outdoor use. Nylon flags will fly in the slightest breeze. The nylon flag is a lighter weight fabric than our polyester flag.
What is PolyMax™ Polyester Flag Fabric?PolyMax™ Polyester fabric is extremely strong and durable. Because the fabric is more durable and heavier than nylon, it requires more wind to fly. It perfect for winder areas. It is resistant to most chemicals, wrinkle resistant and mildew and abrasion resistant. Our PolyMax™ flags are the most durable of all flag fabrics and manufactured from two-ply polyester material. Its unique open weave reduces wind resistance, therefore lessoning abrasion and increasing flag life. These flags are perfect for outdoor use. The strength of this fabric increases the life of the flag by two times making it the most superior flag fabric in the marketplace. Polyester makes for a heavier flag than a nylon fabric and requires more wind to fly.
What is EnduraTex™ Cotton Flag Fabric?EnduraTex™ cotton flags use traditional 2x2 mercerized cotton bunting. The extra rugged weave actually exceeds U.S.Government specifications. The most modern dyeing techniques ensure brilliant colors that are fast to sun and rain. Cotton American Flags, size 5'x9½' are often used for military rites at burials.
What is SunBrite™ Nylon Flag Fabric?SunBrite™ nylon fabric is used for our printed flags. SunBrite™ flags are fully printed on SolarMax™ nylon by Dupont. SolarMax™ helps the nylon fabric to resist sun and chemical deterioration. Our Aniline-Dye process duplicates complex emblems with exacting accuracy in brilliant, fast colors. Stripes and stars are NOT sewn. This is a printed flag. All flags are finished with lock stitch hems.
Defitions:Sewn Flag: On a U.S.Flag-each stripe is sewn separately. Stars will be embroidered or appliqued.
Printed Flag: Using a dye and printing process, the stripes or design is imprinted on cloth. The edges of the flag are sewn-but not the individual stripes.
Pole Hem: This is a hem on the left side of the flag that a pole can pass through. Pole Hem are useful for indoor flagsets, parades and outdoor decorative poles.
SOLID BRASS GROMMETS allow for your flag to to fastened to your flagpole by way flag snaps or straps.
HEADERS are on the left side of the flag and provide a strong material for grommet placement.
EMBROIDERED STARS are machined stitched onto the flag.
APPLIQUED STARS is a separate star that is added to the flag and machine stitched into place.
METAL THIMBLES are included on all flags 8'x12' and larger. Nylon rope is sewn into the strong canvas header with galvanized metal thimbles. Grommets are also included in this size flag.
STITCHING: Seams are double-stitched and fly ends have either 2, 4 or 6 rows of double-stitching.

HOW LONG SHOULD A FLAG LAST?
There is no definite answer to this question. How long a flag will last depends on the weather, its location, airborne contamination and how often you fly your flag. Remember, your flag is a piece of cloth that works very, very hard. Throughout its lifetime your flag shakes, trembles, drapes, snaps, chafes, bakes, freezes, ripples, flutters, furls, twists, flaps, strains, flies, unfurls and hangs! Is it any wonder that a flag that flies continuously needs replacing two or three times a year? Wind, water, sun and carelessness are the major enemies of a flag. No one can control the weather but you can take some important steps to lengthen the life of your flag. Occasionally washing your flag in warm detergent water will prevent pollutants and dirt from weakening the fabric. Always let your flag dry thoroughly before storing it to prevent mildew or color transfer. At the first sign of fraying, have your flag repaired before further damage is done. Always keep your flagpole clean as possible and move your pole if your flag does not have adequate room to fly unobstructed.
